  • A winged headboard is a standalone accessory with side wings, sold separately from the bed base. A wingback bed is a complete bed frame where the wingback headboard is integrated into the overall design. A winged headboard lets you add the wing style to an existing divan or compatible slatted base.

  • Our winged headboards use the standard adjustable strut fitting system, the same as all our other headboard styles. The struts slot into receiving brackets on your bed base and can be adjusted in height to suit your mattress depth. Full fitting instructions are included.

  • Yes — the central upholstered panel provides a cushioned surface to lean against, and the wings add lateral support on each side. Many customers choose winged headboards specifically for the additional comfort when reading or watching television in bed.

  • Yes — winged headboards are available in all UK standard sizes from 3ft single through to 6ft super king. Please ensure you select the size that corresponds to your bed frame width for a proper fit.

  • Regular vacuuming with a soft brush attachment removes dust and debris effectively. For spot cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth and blot rather than scrub. For velvet fabrics, always brush the pile back into direction after cleaning to restore the texture. Avoid soaking the fabric or using harsh chemical cleaners.
