Children's Mattresses for Growing Bodies

A growing child needs the right support, and our children's mattresses are designed with breathable, hypoallergenic materials to keep little ones comfortable through the night. Firmer support helps growing spines develop properly, and our range covers single and small double sizes to suit most kids beds and bunk beds.

Every mattress in this range is made with safety and comfort front of mind, using quality materials that are built to last as your child grows. We recommend pairing with one of our car beds or bunk beds for a complete, coordinated bedroom set.

Whether you're furnishing a nursery upgrade or a shared bedroom, our children's mattresses give you peace of mind alongside genuine comfort.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before you order.

  • A medium-firm mattress is generally recommended for children as it provides the right balance of support for a growing spine while still being comfortable. Overly soft mattresses are not recommended for young children as they don't provide adequate postural support. All our children's mattresses are rated for age-appropriate firmness.

  • Yes — we strongly recommend a waterproof mattress protector for all children's mattresses. It protects against accidents, spills, and general wear, significantly extending the life of the mattress and helping with hygiene, especially for younger children.

  • The most common children's mattress size is the UK 3ft single (90 x 190cm), which is the same as a standard adult single. Some smaller toddler beds use a 70 x 140cm cot bed size. Check the mattress dimensions against your bed before ordering — we always list the exact size on each product page.

  • Children's mattresses should ideally be replaced every 5–7 years, or sooner if there are signs of sagging, lumps, or the child has outgrown it. A mattress that no longer provides proper support can affect sleep quality and posture during key developmental years.

  • Several of our children's mattresses feature hypoallergenic fillings and anti-dust-mite cover fabrics, which are particularly beneficial for children with asthma or allergies. Look for the hypoallergenic label on individual product listings, or contact us and we'll point you to the most suitable options.
