Crushed Velvet Beds

Crushed velvet has a characteristic multi-directional sheen caused by the pile being pressed in different directions during manufacture, creating a lustrous, almost liquid appearance that catches the light. Plush velvet has a more uniform pile that lies flat in one direction for a softer, more matte finish. Crushed velvet tends to feel more glamorous and high-impact.

Crushed velvet's sheen is inherent to the fabric structure and is very durable. The appearance can be affected by prolonged heavy pressure in one area, but general use will not damage the fabric. The multi-directional pile means light scuffs or hand marks are barely noticeable.

Crushed velvet is relatively easy to maintain. Vacuum regularly with a soft brush attachment. For spot cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth and blot the area — the multi-directional pile means minor marks are less obvious than on plush velvet. Avoid soaking the fabric. A fabric protector spray is recommended on delivery.
