Ambassador Beds

An ambassador bed is one of the most luxurious styles in our range — characterised by a dramatically tall, fully upholstered headboard, typically featuring deep button tufting and a plush fabric finish. The style is associated with luxury hotel suites and is designed to be the centrepiece of a bedroom.

Ambassador bed headboards typically stand between 150cm and 180cm from the floor — significantly taller than standard headboards. This height creates a dramatic visual impact and is most effective in rooms with ceiling heights of 250cm or more. The exact headboard height is listed in the product dimensions.

Ambassador beds are among the more involved assemblies in our range due to the size and weight of the headboard panels. We strongly recommend two people for assembly. Our two-man delivery and assembly service is available at checkout and is particularly worthwhile for ambassador styles.

Our ambassador beds are available in a curated selection of premium fabrics including deep plush velvet and soft boucle, in neutral tones including mink, cream, and charcoal. The tailored button tufting is standard across all ambassador styles. Available options are shown on the product listing.

Ambassador beds make the most impact in larger bedrooms where the dramatic headboard height can be fully appreciated. As a guide, we'd recommend a minimum room width of 3.5 metres for a king-size ambassador bed. In a smaller but well-proportioned room, they can still work if a bold statement is what you're after.
